He was born on the 31 May, 1979 in Zhukovsky city. In 2001 he finished the Armavir Air Force Institut. He was a pilot-instructor at the 797 Flight Personnel Center Krasnodar Air Force Advanced Flight School. Since 2009 he is serving at Kubinka Airbase. During his service he has mastered aircrafts:L-39, and Su-27. His overall flying time on all the mentioned types is almost 1500 hours. Plaksin has performed aerobatics since 2011. He performs flights in the aerobatics formation as a second wingman. He is married and has two sons. He is fond of hunting, fishing and traveling.
